In connection with the meeting of the Ministers for Education and Science within the European Union in Uppsala from 1 March through 4 March 2001, Uppsala University, Sweden’s Doctoral Students, and the Uppsala Student Union will organize a European conference for doctoral students, Eurodoc 2001.

The overall aim of the conference is to stimulate an increase in the international mobility of doctoral students within the EU. The preliminary themes of the conference are Research Schools, internationalization, supervision, equality between men and women, and social and ethnic diversity. One or several prominent lecturers will be connected with each theme. Activities will be conducted both in the form of lectures and in the form of workshops.
